It is illegal to store items which have flammable liquid inside or around it – or for firearms to be stored within a self storage unit.

Do not store any goods that are illegal, stolen, inflammable, explosive, environmentally harmful, hazardous, perishable or that are a risk to the property of any person. e.g. Chlorine, acid, paint and petrol.

Do not store any food or food items or products.  This will encourage vermin and will threaten both other peoples and your belongings.

Under no circumstances should you keep anything flammable or combustible in your storage. This means no gasoline, fuels of any type, oil, cleaning fluids or paint thinner. If you’re storing any machinery that runs on any type of fuel, drain the tank before you store it.
